I am Elizabeth and I am recovering from bulimia and from being un-funny. The bulimia I’ve had for 20 years. I was stricken with un-funniness in 2015, though some experts would claim it started even earlier. I gradually noticed symptoms (morose blog posting, lackluster trash talking in my fantasy football league, generally fewer to no funny text messages) becoming more pronounced and finally decided it was time to seek help. Turns out recovery from an eating disorder often manifests itself in un-funniness. I had no idea.

So here I am, hoping to locate my long lost humor while continuing to keep the contents of my stomach right where they should be. And hopefully learning to love myself fat, skinny, weak, strong, funny, or (gasp) unfunny.

We’ll see.
